At more than 800,000 square-feet, Apple Campus 3 is the company's third largest campus in Silicon Valley.
The innovative 18-acre business park has three interconnected buildings, four levels of office space, and 2 levels of underground parking. Campus amenities include open floor plans, pedestrian pathways connecting all facilities, roof top gardens, and a 500 seat amphitheater.
Clanton's daylighting design team studied multiple façade sections to provide shading and reflected light deep into the open office spaces. The cantilevered floor slabs that create the curved form of the building extend and taper based on the orientation of the façade to optimize shading and minimize costs. Daylight modeling included annual, climate-based daylighting metrics for LEED v4. Apple Campus 3 is certified LEED Platinum.
